We've been massive fans of the classic murder mystery for a long time, but it was only in our late twenties a few years ago that we hosted our first evening after finding an unused game in a charity shop. We invited four other friends to join us for a murder mystery dinner party. A little apprehensive and feeling a tad silly, we all joined in fancy dress, with dodgy accents, a themed menu, drinks and determination to solve a crime.
We had such a fun night.
After that we were hooked, with each couple hosting a murder mystery once every few months. It's such a nice way to meet up, have some dinner and drinks, whilst escaping the reality of everyday life for a few hours and working out who the murderer might be.
It was in the spring of 2020 during lockdown that we finally had the chance to complete our very own murder mystery; a case we'd been keen to solve for a few years. We wanted the game to be entertaining, whilst adding enough evidence and twists for aspiring sleuths to dissect.
Moon Rising Mysteries was born. We hope you have as much fun playing it as we did making it.
Keep an eye out for more murder mysteries and games.
